Vacancy detail

Staff officer responsible for the provision of command and staff training for Military Aid to the Civil Authorities (MACA) operations.  Frequent travel across the UK (incl NI), delivering 10-15 programmed training events per year, as well as other short notice events as required.  Likely to result in a minimum of 30 NOOB pa.                                                                                                                                                            1. Act as Chief Observer/Mentor on UK Operations collective training events (each event 4-5 days duration).
2. Teach, advise and mentor audiences and individuals up to 1* on application of the Combat Estimate and common planning tools to MACA tasks.
3. Line manage FTRS (LC) SO2 and NRPS SMI and 2 part time Army Reserve SO2s on RSDs.
4. Advise and assist HQ SJC (UK) and HQ RC on planning and delivery of relevant collective training.
5. Write Training Assessment Reports following Collective Training exercises to inform CoC assurance and certification requirements. 
6. Represent LWC/CTG/CSTTG at military and civil resilience events.
7. Be prepared to assist other elements of CSTTG in the delivery of urgent or important collective training outputs.
8. Be prepared to deploy to support Civil Authorities on short notice, urgent MACA tasks within UK.    
Staff Experience.                      ICSC(L)/ ICSC(R).                        Sub unit command.
Formation HQ staff expereince.                   UK Ops/ MACA expereince.                         Training Delivery Organisation.  
FTRS Application through to boarding
SO1 Observer Mentor (OM).  The application of command and staff planning tools and procedures in support of UK/ MACA operations.  Credibility, tact and diplomacy when dealing with senior officers and other government departments.
