Responsible to SO2 Engt for the development, planning, delivery and assurance of Youth Engagement activity.
The YEO is responsible for the continuous refinement of Intelligence Preparation of the Recruiting Environment (IPRE).
Is to liaise with and support audience generation in line with the analysis and understanding generated by the IPRE.
Is to liaise with and support SO2 Media through the provision of targeted analysis and understanding of the Main Target Audience (MTA), facilitating the most effective digital engagement and reach into the MTA.
Having identified key stakeholders is to establish, maintain and, where appropriate, hand off contacts IOT deliver appropriate youth engagement activities.
Support use of the MIS Understanding Civil Engagement (UCE) tool by HQ and all units in the HQ SE PoC. Capture stipulated measures of effect (MOE) and data analysis.
Be prepared to support the JMC(SE) during UK Resilience Ops.
Other relevant and appropriate tasks and duties as directed.
Engagement Practitioners course and Defence Contribution to Resilience & Security (DCR&S) L2 course.
UK Driving Licence - must be able to self-drive around HQ SE AOR.
DTTT or DTc - a very high standard of lesson delivery is expected.
Operations - useful for credibility.
Staff - Ability to produce high quality lesson plans, presentations, risk assessments etc.
Engagement - Must be comfortable and competent with working with young people.
A high standard of turnout and bearing is essential for this public facing role. Must be able to operate with minimal supervision and often with complete autonomy.
A key element of this role is the ability to continuously refine the Intelligence Preparation of the Recruiting Environment (IPRE) and fuse its outputs with all other elements the engagement plan. An intelligence or ISTAR background is not required but the applicant must be willing to become an expert in Q1 of the estimate and adapt it to best suit the engagement environment.
The ability to innovate and arrive at novel solutions is required and out the box thinking encouraged with the ability to convince the chain of command of their relevance and efficacy to ensure implementation.
An understanding of the education system and youth organisations is desirable but not essential.
Employer comment: Required approx. 4 days per month in the HQ to be able to cross brief and cohere outputs and effect. [The centrality of the role to success in UK Engagement mean where opportunity exits HQSE would be willing to expand the number of available days allocated to this role]
