Enable the coordination and delivery of UK Ops in support of COS, SO2 Resilience and SO2 RST.
Support the development of all JMC SE UK Ops CONPLANs, HQ Staff Work and other projects.
Conduct multi-agency liaison with cross-government resilience partners.
Understand and disseminate UK Ops policy and doctrine and conduct desk level liaison with RC UK Ops and HQ SJC (UK).
During UK Operations or exercises, augment JMC SE as UK Ops Watchkeeper, Planner, or as Military Liaison Officer (MLO) to Civil Authorities as required.
Support other JMC SE outputs, including Community Engagement, support to Cadets and other bespoke projects as determined by the COS.
Plan, Support and deliver RST recruitment and training in conjunction with SO2 Resilience and SO2 RST.
Complete mandated UK Ops Trg.
JOTAC, CWC - Must be trained and capable to act as a staff officer in an OF5 HQ.
IT Literate - MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint used routinely.
Initial JMC and UK Ops Induction brief conducted on appointment. Attend Defence Contribution to Resilience Course L3 and AIRWAVE training.
UK Ops/ CS / CSS - UK Ops experience would be helpful, but not essential.
Experience of working in a HQ would be beneficial.
Wide experience of tri service G3 Ops/UK Ops staff work and procedures.
Potential emergency callout liability on VTOD (up to 20 days max) locally/regionally.
Potential Intelligent Mobilisation Liability.
Must be prepared to support the JMC during UK Ops
Applicants must live within the boundaries of HQ SE AOR. Flexible/hybrid working may be available subject to Comd’s agreement.
88 RSDs allocated per year. Attend weekend training at HQ SE one Saturday/weekend per month. Attend 5-7 week days (not in one block) training with JMC SE, multi-agency partners and MRX once a year (but no 16 Annual Deployment Period).
