Vacancy detail

Subject to formal establishment, a vacancy will arise for a OF3 to serve as SO2 IEP at RN Div, JSCSC on ADC (180 Days) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 31 Aug 2023.

Unit Function

The UK Defence Academy delivers world-class education and training to leaders in order to develop the intellectual edge needed for success on operations and leadership in government.


Position Role    

Support the design, delivery and assurance of training and education within the RND, in accordance with JSP 822 and the Defence Academy MTES.

Responsibilities
1. Deliver training, leading a syndicate of 12 students. When doing this the role would be five days a week. Dates for this would be agreed based on student loading, several months in      advance, and would result in commensurate blocks of time away. 
2. Assess students and write reports.
3. Maintain student records.
4. Provide support to course accreditation as required.
5. Participate in moderation sessions and other processes to support the role of delivering training. 
6. Contribute to course development, including developing and maintaining appropriate DSAT documentation such as training objectives and learning specifications.
7. Help to maintain the currency of the RND DLE pages. 
8. Any other duties and tasks as reasonably directed by Director RND.

Must be an OF3 of any specialisation.  

Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.

Security Clearance Level - SC

It is essential that the post holder has:

•    Experience in the delivery, development and maintenance of educational programmes.

 

It is desired that the post holder has:

•    A knowledge of the DSAT process.
•    Some experience of working with Microsoft Office products.
