Unit Function:    INITIAL NAVAL TRAINING MISSION: To Militarise and Marinise. Turning civilians into sailors to meet the future needs of a modern Royal Navy. 

Position Role:    The Post Holder’s primary purpose is be responsible for performing the duties of INT HQ Warrant Officer and Departmental Co-ordinator in accordance with Initial Naval Training (R) Management of Training System (MTS) Documentation and Procedures and HMS Raleigh Standing Orders. 

                    
Responsibilities:


Departmental Coordinator, Department liaison with internal and external agencies in relation to INT(R) output.    
Coordination and maintenance of common standards of all training across INT(R).    
Liaise with CNPERs, CMs and CMCs to ensure provision of manpower to fulfil the INT element of the Establishment List. Produce, maintain and update the INT(R) Loading Pattern.    
Maintain and update INTSOs as overall sponsor. Ensure INTSO and ESO compliance within INT(R).    
Provide advice to OCINT and the Command. Promote and uphold Service Ethos and Core Values among Training Delivery Staff and Recruits.    
Provide a Consultancy Service and Intervention to Divisions where appropriate and necessary in order to enable delivery of the INT(R) programme.    
Act as Divisional Officer and 1RO to the INT MAA and INT HQ Admin CPO. Act as Divisional Officer and 2RO to the INT Admin Office PO.    
Administration of the INT(R) HQ Staff. Oversee the INT(R) T&S Budget.    

Must be a serving Regular or Maritime Reserve OR8-OR9  or Ex-Regular OR8-OR9 of ANY specialisation.

The incumbent will be keeping duties which involves maintaining the WDoC of up to 240 PH1 Recruits.  They will also be taking part in Ceremonial duties which will involve sword drill and weapon supervision.  This role regularly requires work to be carried out at short notice outside of the agreed TORs.     

Employer Comments:
The role of INTWO can only be done by an experienced RN Warrant Officer, many of the responsibilities are akin to that of an EWO and require a person in uniform to execute them.  The INTWO maintains the standards that are expected from a Phase 1 establishment.

Defence Train the Trainer (DTTT).

Applicants will undergo an initial eligibility sift. Successful applicants will have their details forwarded to the Post Sponsor to arrange interviews. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly.

Following interviews; the successful applicant will be informed that they are the Preferred Candidate with details being sent to the CM RES FTRS Cell who will continue the recruitment process. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly.

Once the recruitment process is complete then the Preferred Candidate will be invited to take up FTRS.


INITIAL COMMITMENT LENGTH WILL BE 12 MONTHS WITH POTENTIAL TO EXTEND

NB: Where the Anticipated Start date has already passed, the start date will be ASAP


Eligibility for FTRS/ADC

Any member of the Maritime Volunteer Reserves (RNR, RMR) or the Royal Fleet Reserves (RFR) (Ex-Regular Reserve) may volunteer to undertake a period of FTRS/ADC. Ex-Regular personnel whose RFR liability has run out may be re-instated to take up FTRS/ADC.

Applicants undertaking a period of FTRS/ADC must be suitably qualified by rate, specialisation, qualifications and experience to fill the posts for which they apply. Applications will be accepted from reservists who hold one rate or more above or one rate only below the advertised rate. Applicants one rate below may be employed in the acting higher rate (excluding the advertised rate of WO2 or WO1) if they are suitable, qualified and meet current promotion regulations in all respects. Applicants prepared to serve in a position at a lower rate then the rate worn will be appropriate to that of the position. Exceptions will not normally be considered.

Applicants must also be medically fit to fulfil the duties which their Commitment will require them to undertake. Personnel who have been discharged P8 Permanently Unsuitable Naval Service through the MBOS and Employability Board will not be considered.

Ex-Regular Reserves other ranks of an equivalent rank from sister services may apply, however will have to transfer to the RFR and conduct a period of Marinisation if they are selected as the preferred candidate.
