Vacancy detail

Assist the Motor Transport Warrant Officer (MTWO) with the following:

Responsible to the CO / HoE for the operating standards and use of MOD vehicles. This includes the application of appropriate civil legislation, MOD policy, guidelines and local Instructions. 

Advise the Commanding Officer on all matters of Motor Transport Policy and Procedures, the delivery of Driver training with the Unit and the career development for G4 personnel. 

Assist the MTWO with the duties of Senior Equipment Manager on JAMES MIS. Ensure that JAMES is coordinated throughout the Regt and ensure sub-Units compliance. 

Assist in the coordinate all transport movements within the Regiment and conduct quarterly MT Management checks at Squadron locations as per LSAI/LEA. 

Ensure that all Driver Training/Fam Trg is run in conjunction with JSP 800 and in line with BDE SOTR's. 

Coordinate all Sqn Driver training returns for driver training camps and submit them for courses. 

Coordinate and control all driving instructors and ensure Sqns maintain enough instructors to conduct courses.r 

Ensure all drivers, operators and unit instructors are trained to a competent standard in accordance with current regulations and are familiar with the vehicles and equipment they are required to drive/operate/instruct/maintain. 

Maintain and manage the Regt Drivers license register and ensure all personnel driving records are updated.

Annual Bounty will be awarded on achievement of mandatory training requirements. RSDs: 27 days with the possibility of additional days available. Evening and weekend work will be required.

In receipt of 5% X factor within salary and HDT.

Reserve pension is applicable after 24 months.
