Position Role: Section Commander ATU (West).
Responsibilities:
1. Perform the duties of a Section Commander delivering army reserve basic training CMS 21.
2. Key responsibility is to delivery SAA to their allocated section within the Basic Training Platoon to WHT standard.
3. Fully conversant and compliant with all aspects of Basic training, either leading or supporting its delivery.
4. Assist the Platoon Commander with compiling Recruits report books and the Platoon Sergeant with administration.
5. Lead Recruits and inspire individual achievement as per the ARITC code of practice for instructors.
6. Undertake any additional tasks as required by the CoC.
7. Maintain regular engagement with own cap badge ensuring the individual remains SQEP within CEQ.
8. Any other tasks as directed by the CoC.
RMQ, DCCT user, BCD, CBRN desirable

ATU (West) trains the Army's next generation of Army Reserve soldiers. We deliver demanding, realistic but safe basic training that develops the character of our soldiers so that they can embark on their military career with confidence and a will to win. We teach the values and standards of the British Army using inspirational role models and ensure that our soldiers can do the basics brilliantly.

Further Information:
We are a satellite training location who offer reservist the ability to train locally over weekends and modular courses. The unit is small with approximately 60 personnel. With our HQ in Exeter and 2 training companies based in Exeter and Cardiff. Although you are based in Cardiff you can attend and support training in Exeter .
We welcome and train reserve recruits from all over the UK.
