Warrant Officer Brigade Staff Support Team

Unit Role:  51 Inf Bde – the JMC that leads, enables, sustains and promotes the British Army in Scotland.

Position Role:  Member of the Brigade Staff  Support Team (BSST) delivering UK Operations and Training.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the coordination and delivery of UK Ops.
2. Support the development of all UK Ops CONPLANs and HQ Staff Work.
3. Conduct multi-agency liaison with cross-government resilience partners.
4. Understand and disseminate UK Ops policy and doctrine.
5. Operational Support: Watch keeping, Operations Room Management, Operational Record Keeping and information management tasks.
6. Desk level liaison with RC UK Ops and HQ SJC (UK).
7. Support BSST resource and training.
8. BPT support further projects as directed by the CofC.

IT Literate as MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint used routinely and able to use Army MIS.

Defence Contribution to Resilience Lvl 2 (Can be completed in role)

Operational experience - UK Ops/CS/CSS helpful but not essential.

Wide experience of tri-service G3 Ops/UK Ops staff work and procedures.

Ops room experience beneficial. 

Experience of CIMIC ops would be beneficial.

Post will be boarded on 51X Regional Appointment Board (RAB) after the closing date.

1. Reside or work in JMC AOR.
2. Potential emergency callout liability on VTOD (up to 20 days max) locally/regionally.
3. Potential Intelligent Mobilisation Liability.
