Vacancy detail

Domestic Considerations: The post is based in Andover with hybrid working options. 
Position Role: Position Role: Lead Staff Officer for the Fd Army (Log Support) in their capacity as functional Leader for Army Support Provide and coordinate pan-Army HQ input into the Defence Support (Def Sp) Transformation Programme (Sp Tx) for subordinate Programmes including Business Modernisation for Support (BMfS), Engineering Support Transformation (EST). 
Responsibilities:     
1. Brief and prepare ACOS and DCOS Log Support Fd Army for attendance at the termly 3* Defence Support Performance Board and Support Portfolio Progress Boards, to include detailed briefing on the Equipment and Sustainment assessment of Fd Army and JHC FE@R. BPT brief and prepare DCGS for the twice yearly 4* Defence Support Board.
2. Act as COS to AH Sp Tx providing and coordinating subject matter expertise into the Army contribution to the Sp Tx and all workstreams of the Def Support Functional Plan, and for UKStratCom emerging Support strategies and policies, staffing upwards as required.
3. Act as the focal, point for Sp Tx with other front-line Commanders, with weekly engagement. 
4. Coordinate pan- Army Support Risk and Assurance Functions, from relevant subject matter expertise.
5. Provide secretariate function for the quarterly Army Support Performance Board.
6. Act as 1RO for SO2s within the team.
7. Deputise for AH Sp Tx as required.

Selection by FTRS Boarding process though may possibly go to APC No4 Board
This is a high-profile role in the Log Support Programmes of Field Army HQ with weekly exposure at 2* level and daily interactions at 1* level in the Fd Army, Army HQ, HJC and UKStratCom. 
Previous experience in Equipment or Logistics Support is useful, though not as necessary as the ability to ruthlessly prioritise which rea of staffing require senior level input.
