SO2 G35 ROW

Unit role: HQ 6 (UK) Div exercises 2-Star command responsibilities in order to prepare and generate forces for operations, developing Land Component Spec Ops and unconventional warfare activity.
Position role: SO2 RoW leads the planning, force generation & deployment of 6 (UK) Div FE on ops, contingency & training across the ENDURA, ARENA and LAC Defence Frameworks.
Responsibilities:
1. Management of key 6 (UK) Div operations, primarily focussed on ENDURA, ARENA and LAC Framework operations (FAP directed activity).
2. Work in support of COS 6 Div, briefing GOC and wider partners as required.
3. In conjunction with 6 Div Ops Cen and Div Staff, conduct deliberate and short notice op planning in support of specified campaign objectives.
4. Integrate, coordinate, synchronise and prioritise the execution of operations within specified campaigns.
5. Evaluates progress through subjective and objective processes to assess campaign performance.
6. Maintain situational awareness across the ENDURA, ARENA and LAC Mil Strat Frameworks, assessing op implications for 6 (UK) Div alongside the Div Ops Centre.
7. Support the development of the Land Component Spec Ops cell within the LOC.
Domestic considerations: Role will require regular UK travel with the possibility of occasional theatre recces / visits.

OF3 (substantive or qualified for Acting Higher Rank)

ICSC L or JOPC.
Recent Op experience within the Frameworks an advantage.
Having completed time as Ops Offr/ O&D will be of benefit for FPrep and FGen responsibilities.
Experience of any Info Mvre / Land Spec Ops federation helpful. A background in ops / ops planning desirable.
