Vacancy detail

1. Manage SC contribution to the Army Lessons Process (ALP), including Capture, Analysis and Exploitation, with stakeholder, including the SC Ombudsman for the Armed Forces (SCOAF), Appeals and Defence Board decisions, Decisions Bodies (DBs), and interface with Defence Lessons Identified Management System (DLIMS).
2. Develop and deliver the Army SC Sec Complaints internal and external training and education plan.
3. Lead on Outreach, including presentations, producing bespoke publications, and managing and updating the SC Secretariat web landing-page.
4. Support SO2 Policy and Plans with developing procedural and policy amendments informed by internal LL and Review processes.
5. Develop and maintain the SC Comms Plan, including periodic lessons and trends newsletters.
6. In conjunction with SO2 MIS ensure complaints are recorded and managed (including Assured) correctly on JPA.
7. Through a thorough working knowledge of extant SC policy (JSPs 831, 763, ACSO 3358 and SC Secretariat SOPs) and in conjunction with the wider Ops Team, provide advice, direction and support for the progression of SCs iaw legislation and regulations.
8. Secretariat Data Protection Foci (DPA) foci.
9. Coordinate and lead on Induction and compliance with Mandatory Training.
10. Surge support to SO2 Admissibility (subject to SC Reform Establishment Action).
11. Support and lead other tasks as required by SO1 Ops.
Demonstrate staff level appointment experience.  To be able to deliver training and briefs. 
Good working knowledge of JPA (training to write JPA Dashboard and bespoke reports will be provided post appointment as required).  Understanding of DLIMs (training will be required as needed).

This post would suit any competent, conscientious and IT literate Staff Officer, who has an interest in SP welfare. The successful applicant will enjoy working within a friendly and motivated mixed military and civil servant team focussed on the rewarding task of righting wrongs. Routine remote working (including post COVID) is supported and enabled with appropriate IT.  Periodic on-site attendance will be required, but is unlikely to be more than one day per week.
