Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the MT department is managed in accordance with JSP 800 and Bn MTSO in all aspects of day to day routine, training and deployment.
2. Ensure that all Bn vehicle fleet and specialist stores equipment are managed, accounted for and tracked using JAMES (GreenF) and PBS2 (WhiteF) and maintained in accordance with the Bn UECD.
3. Manage all driver safety, training and vehicle familiarisation; to include the maintenance of the FMT 601 training records, FMT 600 Register and driver training.
4. Conduct the duties of the: Defence Transport Manager; Unit Road Safety Manager; Unit Licencing Officer; Unit JAMES Manager; Unit PBS2 Authorising Officer; Unit Accident Prevention officer; Dangerous Goods Cargo Consignor.
5. Mange the Bn vehicle / equipment servicing and repair schedule in consultation with the Bn VM/MTWO, ensuring the coordination and prioritisation of all repair and modification activity including JAMES control. Complete all associated maintenance records.
6. Identify, plan and deliver all Bn level movement plans; UK and overseas.
7. Manage and lead the departmental staff and carry out any additional tasks directed by the CoC (CO, XO, QM, OC).
8. Be prepared to deploy in support of all Bn UK based and overseas training and tasked commitments.

Domestic Considerations: Minimum of 27 RSDs with the opportunity to serve up to 180 additional days per year. Army/Regular Reserve post, some travel and overnight duty may be required.
