131 Cdo Sqn is the Army Reserve sub-unit of 24 Cdo RE, based in London, Bath and Birmingham. 

Training Warrant Officer responsibilities:

131 Cdo Sqn requires a suitably experienced OR8 to work with the 2IC and QMSI to: 

1. Provide expertise in Army Reserve career management, especially with regard to trade training.
2. Lead the roll-out of the 'Commando Sapper Journey' - the career pathway for our Army Reserve Commando Sapper soldiers.
3. Support the planning, preparation and conduct of Squadron training activities. 
4. Support the generation of augmentees from within the Squadron for longer unit exercises and operational deployments. 
5. Conduct project work in support of specific outputs related to the Squadron's role. 
6. Deputise for the SSM where required.

Applications are also sought from suitably qualified OR7s with a recommendation for promotion.


1. Commando-trained.
2. Experience in the career management of Royal Engineers Reserve soldiers.
3. Experience of the planning, conduct and assurance of training.

1. Ability to attend occasional site visits or briefings at remote locations.

131 Cdo Sqn is the Army Reserve sub-unit of 24 Cdo RE, based in London, Bath and Birmingham. 

We have roles for MEs Cbt, PO, DCT, Log Spec and Driver, chefs, clerks, junior officers and personnel with construction, utilities and infrastructure backgrounds. We offer a very broad range of challenges experiences and opportunities, and are one of the most travelled units in the Army Reserve.

Our personnel earn their Green Berets on the Reserve Forces Commando Course or join us after completing their regular service.
