This is a Volunteer Reserve position in a Nationally Recruited Unit.

65 Wks Gp RE is a specialist Reserve Unit of 229 personnel, with 6x specialist sub-Units, that delivers Infrastructure for Defence and other Government Departments. Unit roles include all aspects of infrastructure design; construction supervision; commissioning; inspections; etc.

As QM and SO2 Log for the Unit, your main responsibilities are:

Responsible to CO 65 Wks Gp RE for all aspects of G4, and for advising CO and chain of command in respect of all logistic matters.

Delivery of supply and logistic services to 65 Wks Gp in accordance with current policy.

Control, management, supply and allocation of stores and equipment.

Liaison with the 170 (Infra Sp) Engr Gp QMs Dept, higher formations, supporting agencies, contractors, and Reserve elements in Mil Infra Hybrid Units.

Provide management and oversight of G4 personnel within Unit, including provision of G1 advice and support, MS responsibilities, etc.

This role requires serious commitment.

The successful candidate must be available for at least 88x RSDs per year, with an expectation that over 120x RSDs will be required.

The successful candidate will be available to work at Chetwynd Bks for 2-3 days per week, during normal working hours between Monday and Friday. Periods of  deployment in support of exercises (in UK and overseas) is also required.


G4 experience

AA QM Course qualified (or able to attend course post selection).

DV (SC personnel can apply, with DV application to follow appointment).

RE background

Experience working with Reserves
