The incumbent can mainly work out of Altcar Training Camp (Hightown) or QEB (Strensall) depending on their preference of geographical location, however, will on occasion be expected to attend the alternative site to provide SPS support.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain unit ORBAT information on JPA under direction from the Adjt.
- Supervise the production of Part One Orders under direction of Adjt.
- Assist in the compilation of unit reports, record management and returns as directed.
- Control and process soldiers' SJAR (SJAR plan, initiation of report, MYA, staffing of reports to Career Managers).
- Supervise discipline procedures at Unit level.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on discipline procedures and documentation at Unit level.
- Provide Staff support to the CO and Unit HQ.
- Act as Detachment Sgt responsible for the administration of the detachment and focal point for the mentoring and training.
HR, SPS SSA Trained, JPA & CM - It is essential the incumbent of this post has AGC (SPS) wide experience in personnel administration and Reservist administration (career management, attendance-based pay and Certificate of Efficiency (CoE/Bounty).
Cat B driver licence. Suitable for Basic Reserve Training.
DTTT/DTc(A) (can be gained if not held on appointment).
Instructional Qualification.
Cat D1 driving licence
JPA, Churchill, RAPS, PPS, MODNET and SharePoint Trained.

Further Information:
We are a satellite training location who offer reservist the ability to train locally in a modular fashion. The unit is small with approximately 70 personnel. With our HQ in Strensall and 2 training companies based in Strensall (York) and Hightown (Merseyside). We welcome and train reserve recruits from all over the UK.
This is a reservist role that can offer up upwards of 48 days per year, working pattern can involve week days and weekends during modular and consolidated courses.
