Unit Role: Land and Littoral Strike (LLS) will drive Transformational change in the Royal Marines and deliver Littoral Strike (LS) & Future Commando Force (FCF) as one of the five RN Transformation outputs.
Position Role: Principle support to COORD LLS. Responsible for the administration of the LLS Share Point Online (SPOL) team site and accountable to the division’s Information Manager for assuring correct IM policy is adopted.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Site Administrator;
a. Build and maintain the LLS SPOL ensuring it remains fit for purpose for LLS division use.
b. Manage and control access to LLS SPOL Ltd sites/ documents.
c. Be the single point of contact for documentations queries.
1) Understand the LLS file plan as set by the IM.
2) Signpost, file, control and record LLS documentation in the correct document library.
d. Assure adherence to information policy on behalf of the IM.
1) Brief new joiners on LLS SPOL policy and the role of the TSA iaw the LLS IM plan.
2) Ensure leavers have mapped their information flows to the SPOL prior to leaving iaw the LLS IM plan.
3) Conduct monthly assurance checks of the LLS SPOL to ensure compliance with IM policy. Specifically;
a) Advise the Information Manager on potential information breeches
b) Prevent duplicate copies
c) Ensure correct documentation title’s
d) Manage compliance to the LLS IM file plan updating, adding or removing documentation libraries as required.
4) Create Information Ways of Working (IWOWs) crib/ help sheets for LLS division members.
a. Support the transition to electronic ways of working and manage, record and control LLS hard copy documentation libraries, informing users where appropriate that electronic records are the ‘new normal’.
b. Be prepared to replicate all of the above for LLS’s DII-SECRET.
c. Be the Deputy Data Protection Officer.
2. Other duties;
a. Apply for, organise and equip new joiners with necessary hardware, software and induction training.
b. Book conference venues within NCHQ/ HMS Excellent as requested.

Must be a serving Regular or Maritime Reserve OR4-OR6   or Ex-Regular OR4-OR6   of  ANY  specialisation.

Performance Attributes:

Professional Effectiveness: Must be computer literate on MS Office, understand the fundamentals of P3M. Previous military experience desirable but not essential.

Judgement: Must be able to identify pragmatic and possibly novel solutions to Information Management problems, with the ability to identify and understand areas of improvement and strengths in business procedures.

Communication: Must be confident enough and a skilled briefer to convince up to OF5 and civil service decision makers on how to adopt Information practises and explain why they are important to defence.

Effective intelligence: Must be able to deliver effective intelligence sufficient to manage multiple tasks and engage daily with agencies, commercial organisations, industry and civil actors.

  • Experience of working with 3 Cdo Bde is preferable.

Applicants will undergo an initial eligibility sift. Successful applicants will have their details forwarded to the Post Sponsor to arrange interviews. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly.

Following interviews; the successful applicant will be informed that they are the Preferred Candidate with details being sent to the CM RES FTRS Cell who will continue the recruitment process. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly.

Once the recruitment process is complete then the Preferred Candidate will be invited to take up FTRS.


ADC Max 180 Days in 12 Months

INITIAL COMMITMENT LENGTH WILL BE 24 MONTHS WITH POTENTIAL TO EXTEND

Eligibility for FTRS/ADC

Any member of the Maritime Volunteer Reserves (RNR, RMR) or the Royal Fleet Reserves (RFR) (Ex-Regular Reserve) may volunteer to undertake a period of FTRS/ADC. Ex-Regular personnel whose RFR liability has run out may be re-instated to take up FTRS/ADC.

Applicants undertaking a period of FTRS/ADC must be suitably qualified by rate, specialisation, qualifications and experience to fill the posts for which they apply. Applications will be accepted from reservists who hold one rate or more above or one rate only below the advertised rate. Applicants one rate below may be employed in the acting higher rate (excluding the advertised rate of WO2 or WO1) if they are suitable, qualified and meet current promotion regulations in all respects. Applicants prepared to serve in a position at a lower rate then the rate worn will be appropriate to that of the position. Exceptions will not normally be considered.

Applicants must also be medically fit to fulfil the duties which their Commitment will require them to undertake. Personnel who have been discharged P8 Permanently Unsuitable Naval Service through the MBOS and Employability Board will not be considered.

Ex-Regular Reserves other ranks of an equivalent rank from sister services may apply, however will have to transfer to the RFR and conduct a period of Marinisation if they are selected as the preferred candidate.
