Position Role: To support SO2 Trg in the coordination, delivery and assurance of professionally delivered, system‑enabled training for the Army Wholeforce Career Management (CM) community both internal and external to the APC.
The role has a strong focus on the effective use and assurance of the Army Talent Management System (ATMS) to manage training requirements, learner pathways and reporting, supporting transition to DefHRS and digitally enabled learning via the Defence Learning Environment (DLE). The postholder will also contribute training and system expertise to wider APC people capability and change activity.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and deliver system‑enabled CM training for the Army Wholeforce, including within the APC, in line with direction from SO2 Trg. 2. Lead the delivery of training within AOR for ATMS and current Army CM systems, ensuring consistent standards, gathering user feedback, and drawing on SME’s when needed. 3. Oversee CM training delivered within APC to ensure it is accurate, policy‑compliant, and aligned with agreed business processes. 4. Develop and update CM training materials and guidance to reflect policy changes, system updates, and lessons learned, including preparations for DefHRS and digital learning through the DLE. 5. Track training demand, attendance, and effectiveness, and provide clear assurance and reporting to SO2 Trg and key stakeholders. 6. Provide training expertise to APC‑led projects and workforce change activity, supporting the move away from legacy delivery towards more flexible, future‑focused training solutions.
Pre Appt/Deployment Trg: APC Induction Course, CM Pre-employment Training Course, Unit ATMS Coordinators Course.
Domestic Considerations: APC has adopted a hybrid working model in line with pan-Defence guidance. It is expected that for those staff whose function permits hybrid working, 40-60% of their time will be spent in Kentigern House. The primary days for office attendance by the Trg Team are Tuesdays and Thursdays, or as dictated by training requirements. There will be periods however where the incumbent is required to be in Kentigern House for full weeks to deliver training.
Ideally, the incumbent would be available to travel no more than 1-2 days per month to support the delivery of training at alternative locations, meetings or workshops. |
