Domestic Considerations: Regional Command encourages output-focussed flexible working practices based from Central London. Routine travel around your AoR will be required. Accommodation in the London AoR will be considered on a case by case basis.
Position Role:  Plan, Lead and execute the delivery of Firm Base support, including Head of Establishment (HoE) responsibilities, on behalf of the Commander, LONDIST in your assigned AoR..
Responsibilities:
1.  Act as HoE for designated LONDIST sites on behalf of Comd LONDIST, in line with ACSO 1105 (2026–27). 
2.  Lead and manage a multi site Hub Team, including attached personnel such as MPGS under ADCON.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with lodger units, third party tenants and key service partners.  
4.  Chair and coordinate routine customer and supplier forums (e.g. SIMMs, FBECs, contract reviews).
5.  Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and opportunities across the Area of Responsibility. .
6.  Coordinate and deconflict business continuity planning across all tenant units and sites.
7. Support UK resilience operations when tasked, in support of Comd LONDIST.
8.  Undertake additional duties as directed by the Chain of Command.
HoE online training - Can be completed on assumption of role.        Establishment Security Officer - Can be completed on assumption of role.   Previous experience in J4 roles, explicitly infrastructure, essential to the delivery of Head of Establishment role.
ICSC - ACSC would be an advantage. General Grade 2 staffing experience essential; experience in the firm base (Regional Command or a JMC is desirable).                                             Experience as Regtl 2IC covers most of the pre-requisites for this appointment.                                         Sub-unit or unit command desirable and gives credibility when dealing with COs.

The creation of a network of JMC Hubs across the UK, and subordinate to our JMCs, represents a once in a generation opportunity to reset the Army, and in future, Defence’s, firm base operations.                                   JMC Hub Managers will be fundamental to the success of this work.  Hub Managers will lead a diverse team charged with the delivery of the full spectrum of firm base operations, explicitly Head of Establishment functions in the first instance.                                               Successful JMC Hub Managers will be fundamental to the delivery of the firm base: they will become experts in the local infrastructure, will hold contractors to account, and help prioritise infrastructure investment.  They will be the best friend of the deployable Field Army commanding officers, who will rely on them utterly.  Further, successful Hub Managers will need to be comfortable that this is a new and evolving model, with the functions developing as the system matures
