131 Cdo Sqn requires a suitably qualified and experienced RE SNCO to assign into the post of 301 Tp SSgt.

The troop is co-located with A Coy 5 FUSILIERS in Birmingham. We welcome applications from eligible Sergeants with a recommendation for promotion.

Responsibilities:
1. Command troop in Troop Commander’s absence. 
2. Assist the Troop Commander in the implementation of their responsibilities.
3. Manage daily routine and the compilation of training programmes in liaison with the Tp Comd.
4. Provide technical knowledge and advice on military engineering to the Tp Comd/Offr.
5. Coordinate recruitment of new personnel in accordance with the Sqn's Recruiting and Retention Plan.
6. Responsible for production of risk assessments and all H&S matters applicable to the Tp.
7. Responsible to Tp Comd for maintenance of discipline, bearing and turnout of ORs.
8. Be prepared to deploy in area of expertise in support of 3 Cdo Bde RM.

Applicants should already be members of the Army Reserve, be about to transfer into the Army Reserve or be in the process of joining the Army Reserve after a break in service.

131 Cdo Sqn is the Army Reserve sub-unit of 24 Cdo RE. We are based in London, Bath and Birmingham, with some options to serve at reach.

We have roles for MEs Cbt, PO, DCT, Log Spec and Driver, plus Chefs, Clerks, junior officers and personnel with construction, utilities and infrastructure backgrounds. We offer a very broad range of challenges experiences and opportunities, and are one of the most travelled units in the Army Reserve.

Our RE personnel earn their Green Berets on the Reserve Forces Commando Course or join us after completing their regular service. Commando Training is optional for Chefs, Clerks and some of our supporting trades.
