Unit Role:  The Unit Warrant Officer Equipment Support (WOES) Artificer Vehicles (AV) is responsible to the CO for all Equipment Support (Land) matters in the unit. He is designated as Local EngO (Ltd) under the authority of 3 Cdo Bde SO2 ES (BEME). WOES administers the RM ranks of ES Troop and delivers the ES Plan (Land) for Officer Commanding Equipment Support (OCES). He is also to act as the assistant to the RN OPS WO within ES Tp.

Position Role: WOES is accountable to OC ES TP.  

Primary Responsibilities:
1.    WO ES is responsible for advising the CO and the Unit CofC, on all matters relating to Land Equipment Support (ES) within the unit.    
    
2.    WO ES is responsible for management of all RM ES personnel, including drafting SJAR/ MPAR reports for 1RO (OCES) and 2RO (OC Log).

3.    WOES is responsible for the management of the Unit’s Engineering Management System and preparing the Unit for its TechEval Assessment.

4.    When the unit is deployed, WO ES will establish an ES Cell that is capable of providing all ES reports and returns to the unit as required.

5.    WO ES will direct the correct storage, inspection, maintenance, and servicing of ES equipment iaw Service Policies.

6.    WO ES is to control all technical documentation and to ensure that documents issued by the ES chain are kept up to date. This includes JAMES and MEI reports.

7.    WOES is responsible for the training of RM personnel within ES Troop. He is to plan and manage training requirements in order to ensure SQEP is maintained.

8.    WOES is responsible for informing Bde ES HQ on all ES matters and will always defer to the direction of SO2 on engineering matters.

Must be an OR8 of any specialisation. 

OR9 applicants, if successful, will only be paid as and wear the rank of OR8.

Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.

Appointed Person Lifting Operations (APLO) - To act as SME on all lifting operation within the unit in barracks

D809 Qualified  - To act as SME on all Lifting and recovery Operations using the SV(R) Recovery Veh

HELSI - To Act as SEME on all Helicopter Under Slung Lifting Eqpt

ABU (H) operator  - To understand the role and complexities of operating and supporting eqpt across a water gap

Incumbent should have completed at least one Draft as Cdo Unit WOES

Served on LPD or Amphibious Unit -  Understand the complexities of working with Land eqpt in the maritime environment
