Job Description

1. Deliver Army Music capability to The Army, Defence and the Nation as tasked by 12 Bde / 3 Div and in line with current Defence Aims and Priorities
2. Provide the leadership, executive management and musical management of an establishment of Army Reserve Musicians under 12 Bde/ RCAM direction.
3. Act as 1RO/2RO as agreed.
4. Provide career management with advice from BCMO to LMs of all Band SP.
5. In liaison with RMSM, enable, train and plan for all Band SP to undertake technical training and assessment iaw RMSM CEQ policy
6. Liaise with PSI to confirm maintenance of musical training and standards of the Band in accordance with HQ RCAM assurance policies and ARMS executive reports– especially wrt SHEF, Delivery Risk Management, in particular hearing health.
7. Attend Unit / RCAM Regional DOM briefings to maintain engagement at Unit level / with other Reg/Res Bands along with all Unit SUCs / ARes DOMs/BMs.
8. Provide advice to 12X on all musical matters and support Bde Units using music in support of the ATTRACT element in their Engagement programs.

Essential Skills

Lvl 6 Conducting Diploma (or above) - Civilian experience of leading/conducting high performing bands considered by CO.

B Mus (Hons)

ALDP

Civilian/Community Conducting Leadership Roles - Civilian experience in conducting /training/development and performance of ensembles in elite/professional setting.

Cat B1 Driving Licence & SC cleared

Desirable Skills

Bandmaster Course (or RMBS/RAFMS Equivalent)- Civilian experience considered by CO.

RCAM Bandmaster/Director or Music

Predominantly working in 1 location but supporting MOD, Army & Unit Outputs and engagement both at home and abroad.
