DS 12/20, Junior Staff Centre (20319)

Position Role:  Directing Staff: Motivate, educate, mentor, and lead officers on Junior Officer Tactics Course and Captains Warfare Course at the Jnr Div. 

Responsibilities:
1.  Instruct on JOTAC and Captains Warfare Course (CWC). 

2.  Mentor, lead and report on syndicates of up to 14 student officers. 

3.  Design, write, deliver and develop course material as required.   

4.  Own course module, as directed. Then lead development and delivery of these course elements across the Jnr Div.  

5.  Provide SME focus, linked to cap-badge capability and experience. BPT lead other arms doctrine and tactics.   

6.  Maintain course management and policy documents as directed. 

7.  Participate in Jnr Div events and course delivery. 

8.  Maintain links with relevant doctrine and capability directorates, HQs and establishments as required.  

The Jnr Div requires a balance of cap-badges across SO2 DS in order to deliver JOTAC and CWC effectively to an All-Arms Training Audience.  Applicants can move between JOTAC and CWC, dependent upon preference and WF prioritisation.  

SG2 and/or strong performers may have the opportunity to fill Chief Instructor and Jnr Div XO appointments in 2nd/3rd year.
