Vacancy detail

Domestic Considerations: Up to 44 RSDs per year that includes Reserve training weekends and 15-day Annual Deployment Exercise usually in May/Jun of each year.
Position Role: Driver. The UOTC is to deliver leadership development for selected students through military training, adventure training, personal, intellectual and social development, physical training and sports.  On behalf of the Army, it is to engage with Higher Education Institutes to support Regional Command Engage to Recruit and directed Defence Engagement activity which supports increasing Army inflow.
Responsibilities:
1.    The primary role for this appointment is to operate as a member of the MT Section in the role of a driver, when either in Barracks or on Deployment through the working week, assist in the provision of all vehicle allocations required to allow the Corps to undertake training as per the OTC Directive.
2.    Liaise with the QM/RQMS and keep abreast of any changes with regards to the training forecast for the Corps, where changes are made to the training programme, they are to implement them accordingly with regards to vehicle requirements.
3.    Assist with the control and allocation of vehicles for movement of personnel, equipment and stores.
4.    Responsible for all registers and documentation pertaining to vehicles held on account and the maintenance of such vehicles, in accordance with current regulations. Ensuring compliance with the UECD.
5.    Assist in the preparation of all vehicles and associated equipment for the LSA&I  and LEA to Satisfactory standard.
6.    Undertake ITR training as laid down in Army Reserve Land Forces Regulations.
7.    Ensure that the Commanding Officer’s policies on Equipment Care for vehicles are being enforced and adhered too.
8.    Support training and other commitments as directed by the QM, Queen’s UOTC.
