Vacancy detail

The PSAO appointment is a key HR administration support function within 254 (SGIS) Sig Sqn, as the lead person within a team of a six person (4 Mil and 2 CS Pers) SHQ administration team.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the management, leadership, training, technical competence and command of all permanent staff (3 x Mil and 2 x CS Pers) within 254 Sig Sqn.
2. Act as 1 RO and Line Manager for all 254 Sig Sqn permanent staff. Ensuring the wellbeing, welfare and morale components are maintained.
3. Act as the Army Reserve Career Manager (CM) for all 254 Sig Sqn Pers rank ranged: OF 2 to OR 2.
4. Inspecting and checking the accuracy of data and ensure the pay data is processed to “awaiting export” to PPS for processing by the HR Admin Team and all data entry.
5. Inspecting and checking of training records within the CHURCHILL and Operational Deployment Record (ODR), ensuring accuracy of all data entries.
6. Develops, plans and leads the execution of all G1 HR Administration activity within 254 (SGIS) Sig Sqn. This includes being the sub unit lead for the G1A Inspection, and conducting COSMIC/MISR checks are mandated and directed.
7. Advise the Regtl and Sqn CoC on Reserve Land Force Regulations (RLFR) 16, and all relevant JSPs/DINs/ABNs. With the ability to clearly articulate this in both written and verbal form
8. Day to day interface with and across 13 Sig Regt, specifically: RHQ, G1 and Ops functional areas.
9. Liaise with and across: APC and Army HQ on Army Reserve Matters as directed and requested.
10. MODNET Local Security Officer (LSO) and maintain the unit asset register as the Personal Information Asset Owner (PIAO).
11. Provide support and assistance to the: PSI, ROSO, REMSO and CS HR Admin Team as required and as directed.
12. Any lawful command and duty as directed by the Commanding Officer 13 Sig Regt, and IAW RLFR 16.
