1. Lead and manage a team delivering Basic Training. Act as a role model and mentor to all (deliverer of the ATM function).
2. Plan, conduct and manage training for subordinates. Assure Basic Trg Delivery within the Pl AOR.
3. Deliver in barracks/business process, ensuring maintenance of standards and efficiency.
4. Manage delegated tasks (including Pl level G4 functions) and associated risk.
5. Promote an inclusive culture in the workplace. Uphold the Army core V & S.
6. Manage subordinate discipline, support subordinate development and deliver career advice/management.
7. Develop, advise and support recruits, subordinates and junior officers.
8. Maintain health and safety in the workplace.
Cat B driver licence.
Recommended for Phase 1 Training on current Annual Report
Instructional Defence Trainer (Phase 1 Or 2)
Other instructional qualifications to teach Army Reserve Recruits.

ATU (North) trains the Army's next generation of Army Reserve soldiers. We deliver demanding, realistic but safe basic training that develops the character of our soldiers so that they can embark on their military career with confidence and a will to win. We teach the values and standards of the British Army using inspirational role models and ensure that our soldiers can do the basics brilliantly.

To deliver trained and motivated Reserve soldiers to the Field Army and establish a centre of excellence in the North of England.
Further Information:
We are a satellite training location who offer reservist the ability to train locally in a modular fashion. The unit is small with approximately 70 personnel. With our HQ in Strensall and 2 training companies based in Strensall and Liverpool. We welcome and train reserve recruits from all over the UK.
This role will also give you the opportunity to undertake training courses that may not be available to you through your own unit, such as skill at arms, range qualifications, CBRN, First aid and Map Reading.
This is a reservist role that can offer up upwards of 48 days per year, working pattern can involve weekdays and weekends during modular and consolidated courses.
