Vacancy detail

Position Role: Full-time representative in the RHQ, providing advice, support, coordinating effort and solutions to Reserves Personnel issues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Focal point for RHQ on Army Reserve recruiting and engagement. Collaborate with RHQ teams to help integrate the Reserves.
  2. Liaise with RC Cadets Branch to promote the provision of support to cadet organisations and the poduction/refresh of a REME Cadet plan.
  3. Liaise with ARITC to ensure candidates are processed through recruitment pipeline effectively.
  4. Support transferee processes, market opportunities and guide ex-regulars and re-joiners to the Army Reserves.
  5. Give guidance and help to resolve CM policy issues for Reserve Officers and Soldiers, in liaison with Army Pers, Army Cap and APC.
  6. Organise the annual REME Reserves conference. Secretary for the quarterly REME Reserves management board.
  7. Provide permanent staff support to RHQ part-time reservists, coordinating their administration and attendance.
  8. Line manage and report on ASM REME Reserves.

ICSC(LR)

E1 REME post. Would benefit from Army Reserve service at regimental duty.

Staff officer experience within a HQ at the higher tactical or operational level.

RG Recruiting Managers Course - Previous recruiting or engagement experience is desirable.

EngO - Requires base knowledge of REME Ops/eng and Trg, to develop deep understanding of REME Pers/CM.

Driving Lic Cat B+E, IT literacy - MS Office, sharepoint/Teams, DRS, JPA, CHURCHILL (PPS), RAPS, Defence Connect.

IEng or CEng - Demonstrate commitment and able to champion professional engineering.

Domestic Considerations: Routine working week in Lyneham. Requires frequent evening commitment and occasional weekends, plus occasional UK travel to units/HQs, supporting organisations and training events.
