Task requirements

Domestic Considerations: Majority of work within Andover, with occasional travel to Upavon, Aldershot or Hermitage.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead on all LSO contract finance management, ensuring effective budgeting and forecasting, alongside efficient payment of invoices.
2. Understand existing Land SOF contracts, supporting the Requirements Managers, SO2 LSO Cap Plans and SO1 Assurance with accurate budget information.
3. Ensure contractors are providing Value for Money (VfM).
4. Liaise with Army Commercial, contract project managers and their finance departments to ensure timely payment of contracts via CP&F IAW commercial policy.
5. Writing of Business Cases and Tasking Order Forms whilst managing applications to the relevant scrutiny boards.
6. Timely and clear communication of risks within the HQs, providing effective solutions whilst seeking to maintain relations with partners (both within Defence and contractual).
7. Be prepared to deputise for SO2 LSO Capability Plans as required, ensuring Land SOF contracts continue to run efficiently and effectively.
8. Be prepared to undertake additional work outputs as directed by SO2 Mil Cap Plans or SO1 Assure.

Essential competencies

Logistic Contract Management Course (can complete in appointment)

Working within a small, flat operations team, the selection will work with Land SOF FEs, MAB, other service SOF components and international partners to influence and champion the delivery of Land SOF capability.
