ATU (North) trains the Army's next generation of Army Reserve soldiers.  We deliver demanding, realistic but safe basic training that develops the character of our soldiers so that they can embark on their military career with confidence and a will to win.  We teach the values and standards of the British Army using inspirational role models and ensure that our soldiers can do the basics brilliantly.

Our mission is:

To deliver trained and motivated Reserve soldiers to the Field Army and establish a centre of excellence in the North of England.

Further Information:

The role is to deliver the standard for leadership and instruction for Ph 3 training and as such, the individual selected for this post should be a trainer/mentor role model.  However, the post is also a part of a Ph 1 training establishment and additional work can be achieved in this context, therefore the candidate must have SJAR recommendations to work in any training establishments in the last 2 years.

Not suitable for anyone in their last 2 years of service.  Working in a high-profile environment, the person selected will require the mental dexterity to assimilate information and pass on complex subject matter with the appropriate confidence and communication skills to teach a spectrum of ranks.

This is a reservist role with extensive RSD's available, Hybrid working patterns can be considered when appropriate.

PPP & CV to be sent to al.mckenna838@mod.gov.uk, Job Spec can be forwarded on request
