Vacancy detail

Responsible for allocation, supervision and conduct of Service Complaint investigations by the Service Complaints Investigation Team within Army Service Complaints Secretariat.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and conduct independent and unbiased investigations into Service Complaints.
2. Compile clear evidential based Investigation Reports for the Deciding Bodies.
3. Conduct quality assurance on Service Complaints investigations and Investigation Reports within the Service Complaints Investigation Team.
4. Minimise and account for delay in Service Complaint investigations allocated to the Service Complaints Investigation Team.
5. Identify and provide training and mentorship to VeRR , OR6 and OR7 Investigators within the Service Complaints Investigation Team.
6. Ensure Data Protection and Information Governance responsibilities are met in accordance with GDPR/DPA18 and Service Complaint Policy.
7. Maintain professional investigative expertise in both self and in other SP in the Service Complaints Investigation Team.
8. As required by the Service Complaints Secretary, deputise for the OC SCIT and conduct secondary duties and tasks iaw business need.

Remote working is supported and enabled with appropriate IT. Incumbent should be able to work on-site for 3 days per week.
By exception, may need to travel for international and operational interviews and/or investigations.
Requires a seasoned and experienced investigator who possesses tenacity, empathy, and tact, and able to confidently work up to 3 star level.
Required to oversee and work on a number of concurrent cases with minimal supervision to tight timelines.
