Task Requirements –  

  • Successful applicants will spend 10 days trade training to qualify as a Class 3 OH Specialist. They will then gain hands-on experience and demonstrate competency using a B3-B2 Workbook. Soon after qualifying as a Class 2 OH Specialist, they will be offered the opportunity to train as a Class 1 OH Detachment Commander.   
  • Opportunities exist for OH Specialists to undertake additional RSDs in year in support of the regular Army. Tasks can be anything from 1-2 days to four weeks in duration, with opportunities to exercise in both UK and overseas.  
  • Applicants may also get the opportunity to further their driving skills and qualify in additional licence categories up to C+E. D1 (Minibus) training may also be available.  
Training will be provided. 
Applicants should hold a minimum Med Cat; MLD.

Operational Hygiene (OH) is the means to provide a deployable laundry and shower service, primarily to support field hospitals but which is also available for the general use of all troops. OH is important to the maintenance of health and morale, especially during a period of rehabilitation.
