As a National Reservist, be part of the HQ element of 510 STRE (Air Infra), a specialist Reserve sub-Unit of 42 personnel that delivers Air Infrastructure for Defence and other Government Departments. Unit roles include all aspects of design; construction supervision; commissioning; inspections; etc. 

As SO2 Engr Spec your roles include:

Providing specialist Air Infrastructure advice;

Lead design and project management of projects;

Training, development and mentoring of STRE personnel;

Liaison with client and support unit;

Conduct general staff duties in support of 510 STRE (Air Infra), which may include assisting with the preparation and checking of, technical infrastructure reports.

The successful candidate will be expected to attend at least 30x RSDs per year. 

Opportunities for additional RSDs are likely.

BEng or MEng degree in either Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or similar discipline, or similar KSE gained from experience perhaps combined with HNC/HND, ideally with an 'Air Sp' focus.




CEng status.

Currently employed, or relevant experience in civilian industry.

Practical Project Management experience. Some experience and appreciation of commercial aspects of engineering.



Selection will be made by APC as part of No5 Winter 22 Board.
