A Promotion Selection Board will be held at 2623 RAuxAF Sqn on 25 Apr 23 for the purpose of selecting RAuxAF/Ex-Regular[1] personnel for promotion to fill a Sgt, Gnr PTVR vacancy on sqn.


[1] Ex-Regular RAF personnel (left within 2 years) can apply for promotion.  If left regular service over 2 years or applicant in Navy or Army, advice is to be sought from SO1 Reserves Spt before inviting individual for interview.

Promotion/appointment to Sgt rank.  For consideration for promotion/appointment to Sgt rank, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Have attained the rank of substantive Cpl and have met any minimum qualifying period in that rank, set or required by HQ Air.

Have a current recommendation for promotion to fill an established vacancy in the rank of Sgt.[1]

Have passed any prescribed trade examinations and any other conversion/further training courses required or set by the competent authority.


[1] In accordance with AP3393 Vol 1 Chapter 5 Section 4 and AP3392 Vol 7 Part 2 Chapter 6. 

A Promotion Selection Board will carry out a rigorous selection process for this post, based principally on an applicant’s last 3 Appraisal Reports.
