RAUXAF WING COMMANDER PROMOTION BOARD TO BE HELD AT HEADQUARTERS AIR COMMAND FOR A NURSE RN(A) PART-TIME VOLUNTEER RESERVIST (PTVR) VACANCIES

A Promotion Selection Board will be held at HQ Air (Reserves) in Sep 22 for the purpose of selecting RAuxAF/Ex Regular[1] personnel for promotion to fill Wing Commander Nurse RN(A) PTVR vacancies within the RAF Medical Reserves Establishment located at 612 Sqn (Leuchars Station) and 4626 Sqn (RAF Brize Norton).  Successful candidates will be offered promotion in grade order at the location of their preference where vacancies exist and then at alternative locations.

[1] Ex Regular RAF personnel (left within 2 years) can apply for promotion.  If left regular service over 2 years or applicant served in Army or Navy advice is to be sought from DACOS Reserves staff before inviting individual to interview.

For consideration for promotion/appointment to Wg Cdr rank, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Have attained the rank of substantive Sqn Ldr and met any minimum qualifying period in that rank, set or required by HQ Air.

Have passed the Intermediate Command and Staff Course (ICSC) (Air) Reserves, or legacy equivalent, in accordance with AP 7000.

Have a current recommendation for promotion to fill an established vacancy in the rank of Wg Cdr.

An Appointment Board will carry out a rigorous selection process for this post, based principally on an applicant’s last 4 Appraisal Reports.
