Army Training Unit (West) Cardiff, Plt Sgt Sgt/CSgt (This role is to support Phase 1 Training)

Responsibilities:

1. Perform the duties of a Pl Sgt delivering Army reserve basic training in the delivery of training of up to 48 Recruits.
2. Deputise for the Platoon Comd when required and be prepared to cover any of the Section Commanders responsibilities.
3. Manage Pl administration in barracks and in the field.
4. Responsible for all matters regarding discipline and training of Pl staff and recruits.
5. Fully current with all aspects of basic training delivery as directed by the CoC.
6. Principal instructor in the delivery of all foot drill.
7. Act as a role model and mentor to Sect Comd, ensuring they deliver training to a high standard.
8. Be responsible for the issue, accounting and receipt of all Pl weapons, ammunitions, stores, equipment and rations.
9. Responsible for upholding Core Values and Standards in Pl staff and recruits.

You will not need to attend for an interview, but you are welcome to visit the unit for an informal chat and to learn more about the role.

Further Information:

We are a satellite training location who offer reservist the ability to train locally over weekends and modular courses. The unit is small with approximately 60 personnel. With our HQ in Exeter and 2 training companies based in Exeter and Cardiff. Although you are based in Cardiff you can attend and support training in Exeter . We welcome and train reserve recruits from all over the UK.

This is a reserve training role and we offer up to 88 RSD's per year, however there is no expectation you will you will attend this amount of training days.
