Vacancy detail

Domestic Considerations: up to 80 RSD. Post open to Army Reserve or Regular Reserve, based in York but may require significant travel throughout the UK and occasional overseas travel.

1. To manage the DComd (Res) diary and coordinate specific activities with the wider 1XX Command Group.
2. To ensure the DComd (Res) is briefed and fully prepared for duties during visits, conferences and other military activities.
3. To accompany the DComd (Res) on visits and meetings as necessary.
4. To liaise with Fd Army on 1XX Res matters and ensure DComd (Res) is fully briefed. 
5. To act as secretary for the fortnightly Bde DComds’ meetings, coordinate Study Days and be the focal point for the Bde DComds.
6. Plan the visits schedule to 1XX units, working alongside and in conjunction with the GOC’s diary.  
7. Lead for any senior Res visits to the HQ. 
8. Prepare and draft visit reports.

Staff Experience.
Discretion, tact and diplomacy and an ability to brief very senior officers succinctly.
Able to work on own initiative.
Must have flexibility to meet the demands of the post in both time and place.
