Position Role: Medical Information Systems Requirements Manager


Responsibilities: 
1. Represent Cap C4ISTAR and the User within HQ DMS Programme Office and defence Digital Delivery Teams.
2. Assist the User / Cap C4ISTAR in writing and updating User Requirement Documents (URDs) to accurately capture the capability need.
3. Manage the development and refinement of System Requirements Documents ensuring consistency with the URDs.
4. Represent the Users' interests during performance, time, and cost trade-offs to ensure that operational capability is delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
5. Manage Integrated Test and Evaluation and Acceptance processes on behalf of the HQ DMS, Defence Digital Delivery Teams and Cap C4ISTAR.
6. Chair and/or support Requirements Working Groups and support Capability Integration Working Groups.
7. Act as an interlocutor between stakeholders to drive projects forward in support of Cap C4ISTAR, HQ DMS and Defence Digital Delivery Teams.
8. Provide User-focused guidance to support the Defence Digital Delivery Teams.

BSc/BEng-Technical degree would aid understanding of system requirements
Operational experience
Staff experience
Sub Unit Command experience
C&A career field experience
Medical experience in any Defence or civilian medical environment will greatly improve understanding of user need.

Communication and Influence: Close stakeholder management is key to success in this role. The candidate must be highly motivated, reliable, and able to communicate effectively with technical experts, medical professionals and senior leaders.
Delivering Results: Essential. Must be a high calibre individual keen to take responsibility, make decisions, and prioritise a technically demanding and varied workload.   
Problem Solving and Decision Making:  Must be able to work unsupervised and without support as an empowered member of Cap C4ISTAR. As the only C4ISTAR representative embedded in DMS and Defence Digital, the role is very influential and requires a high degree of problem solving and decision-making ability.   

Domestic Considerations: 
Role will require regular (at least one day monthly) travel to Northwood, Lichfield and Corsham. Incumbent can choose which site they wish to be permanently based at.
