A vacancy has arisen for a Warrant Officer (Any Profession) to serve as WO People Engagement & Briefing within the Director People Division of HQ Air Command at RAF High Wycombe on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 28 July 2025 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status).

The newly formed Whole Force Air People Engagement Team seeks to improve levels of Engagement throughout the Whole Force with the expectation that this will lead to a more productive, motivated, and committed workforce.  We achieve this primarily by undertaking Engagement Visits to units, sharing and gathering information to support both unit and strategic- level planning and activity.

The role primarily involves supporting the briefing element with associated responsibilities on behalf of Director People.  Sometimes the briefings will be delivered as part of the engagement visit, but, there will be a requirement to brief independently from a visit – to the RAF diaspora for example.

As part of the engagement team the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Support the design and delivery of briefing materials and content that delivers strategic messages on matters impacting Whole Force Air Personnel. Each presentation must also be tailored to meet the specific needs of each unit and the composition of the audience.
  • Support the design and delivery of a virtual briefing mechanism.
  • Support Q&A at the end of each briefing and provide formal responses post event. Maintain record of all Q&A handled.
  • Collate and analyse feedback from each event as part of a process of continuous improvement.
  • Work with and support the Engagement visit coordinator to both help shape the visit schedule and work with units to develop the Visit Instruction – particularly with those units where only the briefing team are attending.
  • Facilitate or note-take at Insight Sessions (focus groups) when not delivering presentations and provide comprehensive summary notes to the engagement visit lead for inclusion in
  • Develop a network of stakeholders to ensure coherence across the command in strategic messaging, maintain situational awareness of personnel issues, and with that knowledge, support in the production of the Director People’s Bulletin.
  • Take an active role supporting other Whole Force Air People Engagement Team activities when capacity allows.

Must either have been, or currently be, a WO (Any Profession) or a FS (Any Profession) eligible for promotion in accordance with AP3392 Vol 2 Leaflet 560 and AP 3376 Vol 1. All Promotions will be ratified by means of a Promotion Board.
