1. Domestic Considerations: This department takes a proactive approach toward flexible working practices. There is significant scope for routinely working from home on an agreed basis with the line manager, though some in-office attendance is likely for key engagements. 2. Individual Mission. Responsible to Comd JHC, through AH Safety and Assurance (AH S&A) in their capacity as the Operational Duty Holder (ODH) for supporting risk management practices primarily through the support to Safety Case Officers (SCOs) and their maintenance of JHC platform Air System Safety Cases (ASSC). 3. Responsibilities: a. Track annual reviews of Air System Safety Cases, in accordance with Air Safety Manual timelines. Schedule and track attendance of all key meetings. b. Support the Safety Case Officers who, in conjunction with the appropriate Delivery Duty Holder (DDH) Air Safety Team (AST), proactively manage and continually develop the allocated JHC platform(s) ASSC. c. Daily monitoring of platform specific Defence Aviation Safety Occurrence Reports (DASOR), to identify trends and inform the chain of command of DASORs and new investigations such as, Service Inquiry (SI) and Occurrence Safety Investigation (OSI). d. Be prepared to attend platform Air Safety Boards in lieu of Safety Case Officers. e. Attend and contribute to the ODH Review Group to give up-to-date information on DDH Monthly Report, as well as any other information that would be useful to the meeting. f. Track and progress Air System Safety Working Group (ASSWG) actions in conjunction with platform Safety Case officer. g. Track Action Plan Recommendations h. Attend allocated Platform Safety and Environment Working Groups and Platform Programme Boards. i. Attend other meetings as necessary, or directed by Safety Case Team Leader. j. Support the development and implementation of new ASSC systems, as required. |
