Vacancy detail

Domestic Considerations: up to 80 RSD. Post open to either Army Reserve or Regular Reserve, based in York but may require significant travel throughout the UK and occasional overseas travel. The post of Deputy Comd (Ops) is currently an exchange post with a 1-Star from 1er (FR) Division.

1. Be the British Military interface on behalf of DComd (Ops) whilst carrying out their duties.
2. To provide specific British Military advice and assistance to the DComd (Ops) in formulating all their official correspondence.
3. To accompany the DComd (Ops) on visits and meetings as necessary in order to advise on British Military protocol matters.
4. To manage the DComd (Ops) diary and coordinate specific activities with the wider 1XX Command Group.
5. To ensure the DComd (Ops) is briefed and fully prepared for their duties during visits, conferences and other military activities.
6. Draft official letters and documents as required on behalf of the DComd (Ops).
7. Coordinate assurance visits to Ops, MRX and other significant events.
8. Lead for any senior FR visits to the HQ.

Staff Experience.
Discretion, tact and diplomacy and an ability to brief very senior officers succinctly.
Able to work on own initiative.
Must have flexibility to meet the demands of the post in both time and place.
French Language proficiency.
