Scope

1.    SO2 Attract Event Coherence Officer supports the planning and co-ordination of Attract events across the Recruitment and Attraction (R&A) organisation including the logistical management of Direct Recruiting Events (DRE)  in co-ordination with SO2 Marketing.  The post holder is responsible for the planning of all experiential  elements of recruitment events and for the co-ordination of agency input into those campaigns. 

Responsibilities

2.    SO2 Attract Event Coherence Officer is responsible for the following:

a.    To plan, co-ordinate and evaluate national recruiting events and experiential visits in conjunction with internal stakeholders.

b.    To co-ordinate, cand manage agency input into attract experiential activities and DRE in conjunction with SO2 Marketing and report to the Attract and Marketing Coord meeting.

c.    To provide direction and guidance to Hd R&A staff on all attract experiential activities and DRE activities including developing, analysing and implementing change based on data insights provided by Marketing and SCIO data.

d.    To support the financial submission and business cases for Attract Events and supporting ancillaries on behalf of SO1 Attract. 

e.    To work closely with all internal stakeholders to deliver the attract events programme on task to time and budget.

f.    To act as the SPOC for Specialist Recruiters when planning nationwide experiential events/visits. 

g.    To respond to additional tasking as required by SO1 Attract.

Accountability

3.    SO2 Attract Event Coherence Officer is accountable to SO1 Attract who is also the First Reporting Officer. Hd R&A is the Second Reporting Officer. 

Authority

4.    SO2 Attract Event Coherence Officer is authorised to liaise with the following:

a.    R&A Marketing Department on all Experiential Plans activity.

b.    Recruiting Force nominated personnel on all experiential recruiting campaigns and activities. 

c.    SO2 Ops with respect to in-year priority branch requirements.

d.    Royal Navy and MOD desk officers on Experiential Plans activity, responding to issues as appropriate

e.    Recruiting Force staff through their CoC in support of experiential activities.

f.    HM Ships and Submarines, RN and RM units and establishments, civilian authorities and the general public on matters relating to his/her recruiting duties.

g.    Officers in Charge of University Royal Navy Units.  
 
h.    Education Establishments, Cadet Units, Youth Organisations and any other organisation/society that may benefit the Royal Navy recruiting process

Must be an OF3 of ANY specialisation. OF2 applicants with a recommend for the next higher rank in their most recent OJAR may be considered. 

OF4 applicants, if successful, will only be paid as and normally wear the rank of OF3.

Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.

Applicants will undergo an initial eligibility sift. Successful applicants will have their details forwarded to the Post Sponsor to arrange interviews. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly.

Following interviews; the successful applicant will be informed that they are the Preferred Candidate with details being sent to the CM RES FTRS Cell who will continue the recruitment process. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised accordingly.

Once the recruitment process is complete then the Preferred Candidate will be invited to take up FTRS.


INITIAL COMMITMENT LENGTH WILL BE 24 MONTHS WITH POTENTIAL TO EXTEND

NB: Where the Anticipated Start date has already passed, the start date will be ASAP


Eligibility for FTRS/ADC

Any member of the Maritime Volunteer Reserves (RNR, RMR) or the Royal Fleet Reserves (RFR) (Ex-Regular Reserve) may volunteer to undertake a period of FTRS/ADC. Ex-Regular personnel whose RFR liability has run out may be re-instated to take up FTRS/ADC.

Applicants undertaking a period of FTRS/ADC must be suitably qualified by rank, specialisation, qualifications and experience to fill the posts for which they apply. Applications will be accepted from reservists who hold one rank or more above or one rank only below the advertised rank. Applicants one rank below may be interviewed at the discretion of the Line Manager and may be employed in the acting higher rank if they are suitable, qualified and meet current promotion regulations in all respects. Applicants prepared to serve in a position at a lower rank then the rank worn will be appropriate to that of the position. Exceptions will not normally be considered.

Applicants must also be medically fit to fulfil the duties which their Commitment will require them to undertake. Personnel who have been discharged P8 permanently unsuitable Naval Service through the MBOS and Employability Board will not be considered.
