A vacancy has arisen for an OF2 to be serve as the SO3 IEP at the Defence Academy, Shrivenham on FTRS Home Commitment Terms and Conditions of Service.
Unit & Position Role
The UK Defence Academy delivers world-class education and training to leaders in order to develop the intellectual edge needed for success on operations and leadership in government.
Support the design, delivery and assurance of training and education within the RND, in accordance with JSP 822 and the Defence Academy MTES.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to SO2 N7 and the deliverers of training and education within RND.
- Develop and maintain appropriate DSAT documentation for RND training and educational outputs.
- Maintain the currency of the RND DLE sub-category, updating online content as directed.
- Manage the ICSC(M) Internal Validation process.
- Liaise with deliverers of RN PME (e.g. JOLC and NAC) to generate a coherent and continuous programme of educational development.
- Act as secretary to the Course Design Working Group (CDWG) and other meetings as required.
- Provide administrative support to course accreditation as required.
- Any other duties and tasks as reasonably directed by SO2 N7.
- Deputise as necessary for SO2 RND N7
Must be serving as a member of the Reserve Forces or have served with the Regular Forces.
Security Clearance SC
It is essential that the post holder has:
- Experience in the development and maintenance of educational programmes
- A knowledge of the requirements of the DSAT process
- Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
It is desired that the post holder has:
- Experience of course management on the DLE
- A broad understanding of the Naval Service with particular focus on Officer training and education
