FTRS post, based in Winchester Hampshire. 1. Focal point for all welfare agencies operating within and external to the unit.
2. Delivery of improvements in Duty of Care as a result of direction issuing from DHALI recommendations.
3. Provide the CO with an independent welfare assessment of Recruits, PS, lodger unit personnel and families.  
4. Be prepared to advise and assist all Depts on welfare issues affecting Recruits and PS applying for or being discharged.
5. Arbitrate for Recruits, PS and families and lodger unit personnel on welfare issues.
6. With the QM is responsible for welfare facilities for the Regiment and families.
7. Direct, advise and delegate to the UWWO as appropriate.
8. Chair and organise welfare meetings and welfare working groups. 
Pre Appt/Deployment Trg:  Care of Trainee cse, MS Refer (Enhanced), UWO Cse.
Some GI, RCMO, D&I and welfare experience highly desirable.

1. A first-class role model for Recruits and PS and their families. Must be capable of inspiring confidence, be authoritative, empathic, non-judgemental and trustworthy. 2. Must be proactive and have an extensive knowledge of welfare and duty of care responsibilities and agencies (civilian and military). 3. Must be able to use available information and limited resources to arrive at sound, timely decisions in order to prioritise work. Must be responsive to change and be a good judge of character. 4. A very good communicator and listener, approachable, honest and able to project his/her personality to a very diverse audience from varied backgrounds and to advise Recruits, PS and their families on welfare and duty of care.
