Domestic Considerations: Up to 35 nights separated service per year are a requirement of this post.  Will require travel and nights out of bed within UK and internationally to attend trials and specific events, beyond that expected of FTRS (HC).

Position Role: OC CR3 Trials Acceptance & Fielding Group – The post holder will be the Trials, Acceptance & Fielding lead within the CR3 Programme Management Office (PMO). To provide the critical interface for the provision and management of the supporting workforce and Fd Army vehicle crews.  Support and assist all stakeholders in the coordination, management and delivery of trials, acceptance, fielding activities until CR3 FOC is achieved.

Responsibilities: 
1.   Management of personnel.  Manage and lead the supporting workforce in all aspects of their key functions and outputs, (including G1/G4), all daily activity and departmental outputs in support to CR3 trials acceptance & fielding.
2.   G3/5.  Lead the planning, resourcing, coordination and execution of trials acceptance and fielding activities in line with the E2E process.
3.   Interfacing Projects & Systems.  Liaise with the wider CR3 PMO and DE&S CR2 LEP PT regarding trials, acceptance and fielding requirements for interfacing projects and dependencies.
4.   Act as a military CR2 SME as required.
5.   Range Live Fire.  Provide the functions of a Range Conducting Officer for CR3 Live Fire trials and acceptance activities. This includes advice and guidance to achieve trial and acceptance aims and objectives in a safe and sufficient way.
6.   Use field experience to advise other elements of the CR3 team on current armoured trials activity. 
7.   LFE.  Generate and develop learning from experience and continuous improvement documentation for the AMBT programme on trials acceptance and fielding activities. 
8.   Stakeholder Engagement.  Engage stakeholders as necessary in support of the wider programme efforts.  Owning and influencing on behalf of the CR3 PMO Stakeholder manager – the Trials, Acceptance and Fielding Stakeholder Group.
9.   Communications Plan. Own and develop a Trials, Acceptance and Fielding Communications plan. Link in with the C3 PMO Communication lead on the development of articles/photos for Army HQ and wider media consideration. 
10.   Provide MBT user SME support to the CR3 Incident Sentencing Committee, R&M Manager and ES Lead.
11. Own and advise on all G4 logistic support requirements for Trials/Acceptance and Fielding, actively linking in with and advising the Army HQ CR3 PMO Logistic DLOD lead.
12.  Own and advise on all Safety Case considerations for the Trials/Acceptance and Fielding, actively linking in with and advising the CR3 PMO Safety DLOD lead, the AHQ Capability Safety Group and Fd Army Safety team.
13.  Provide SME assistance to the Trg DLoD and development of User and Maintainer training courseware.
14.  Link in with the CR3 PMO Innovation team on the wider trialling of CR3 PMO innovation ideas, under and through the Defence Innovation Unit funding.  Consideration of an annual innovation day to be held at Defence Battle lab or in location.
